First level desgn (with no items)

Level 1 without BG or items
This is my design for my first level we will use this as the first level on my game this is very basic because like other games people make the first level can't be hard but the level won't easy because the little platform which is by it's self will have an item which will be used to get to the next level or will have a lever which opens the door to the next level and this will be same for the next few levels but it will be hard with people trying to stop you while you are trying to get to the item or door to the next level. This level was made with the pencil tools only to just give me solid blocks.

Give feed back if you have an idea on what the next level should look like.

  1. In that large gap on the lower portion of the level the arc of the jump would have to be quite high to reach the other side. In making the jump height high enough to cross that gap the player would be able to jump to the top of the other platforms without needing the ladders. I think adding a moving platform into that gap would be a cool quick fix.

What sort of backdrop are you planning on using? Will this be up the side of some New York-esk style Fire Escape ladders (with that floating platform being a windowsill in the foreground) or will it be inside a warehouse?

I think as a level layout it's cool, but could do with being twice as tall. That way the lower part could be used to teach the player the basic controls and the mid-way point starting the challenge of the game for real.

I look forward to your reply to the feedback :)

  2. i was planing on using items on certain parts of the stage which will help the player be able to move ahead through the level but i will take these into consideration (sorry for poor spelling just woke up)
